LEVI’S BIO

Levi Baer serves as the Director of Training for Chicago United for Equity. His passion for collaborative spaces started while growing up on a farm in rural Minnesota and has fueled his career in organizational development, facilitation, and inclusive community building.

As the co-founder of Second Shift, a community-focused coworking space, Levi created a place for people to themselves. By putting the values of inclusion and collaboration behind the design of the space, he and the Second Shift team have built a community where finding common ground with those around you is an integral part of reaching professional goals.

Levi has worked in a variety of professional settings including mentorship and program development at The Black Star Project, a nonprofit encouraging education equity for Chicago’s Black communities. His entrepreneurial spirit has led him to create his own organizational development consulting firm. Through it, he has spoken on diversity, inclusion, and bias. His love of all things games has inspired a hands-on methodology of training using gamification, personality type, amid other immersive techniques.

Levi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Arts in Organizational and Multicultural Communication from DePaul University.
