Using Story To Clarify Brand Perception with K+L Storytellers CEO Michele Kelly (season finale!)

I didn't think it was possible, but I found someone who is as passionate about storytelling as I am.

Enter: Michele Kelly, Cofounder & CEO of K+L Storytellers, a corporate storytelling agency focused on brand development and content creation.

There was magic in the air in this conversation, as we got deep into storytelling philosophy, strategy, and execution. If you leave this episode not convinced that you should build (or rebuild) your company around your story, then we haven't done our job.

And as a special treat, Michele answers the final Entrepreneurship is ____ question with an original poem.

I couldn't have asked for a better season finale. Enjoy!

MICHELLE’S BIO

First, she was Word Girl. Growing up, Michele Kelly idled time by thumbing through the dictionary, writing sappy songs on her guitar, and making up stories. Her passion became a mission: to create hope for others through words.

Michele is co-founder and CEO of K+L Storytellers, a brand story and content agency for companies living their "why" while making a profit. Michele is a contributing author to Today's Inspired Leader, a 3x published ghostwriter in the nonfiction book category and developmental editor on more than two dozen books.

Give her a yellow, No. 2 Ticonderoga pencil, and she's lethal. She writes 10,000+ words monthly for tech and industrial clients with the urgency of Wonder Woman saving the world with letters. Michele has led pitch competitions for Women Tech Founders, written executive summaries for the largest software M&A firm in the world, and founded Your Extraordinary Story, a young authors' program for middle schoolers.

Michele is currently working on an anthology of short stories due out in 2021. The computer science grad from Florida Tech (she was so bad at programming, her professors let her write papers to pass classes) gives dozens of speeches a year on story, but loves lecturing her three children even more. She shares her heart and office with husband and K+L Co-founder, Roderick Kelly.
