Honest Game on court

Honest Game

Winning $50k their first time pitching

THE SITUATION

Honest Game Cofounders Kim Michelson and Joyce Anderson had just built out their MVP and taken it to a few pilot customers.

They had never formally pitched before, but got feedback when they explained their company to others they sounded all over the place.

They also knew that IF they were to take investment, it had to be the right strategic partner.

As members of 1871’s PYROS accelerator, they attended Startup Hypeman’s “How To Not Suck At Pitching Your Startup” workshop.

After we began working together, they learned of the $50k LOUD Capital / Chicago Bulls Venture Pitch Competition from a recent Startup Hypeman Podcast Episode and sensed that, IF they were to win, LOUD would be the right partner.
